Forks Road Bridge Not in Regional Budget

The Region will not be spending money on the Forks Road Bridge.

Welland Mayor Frank Campion pitched the idea to Regional Council on Thursday.

He wanted council to set aside $4 million for the demolition, pier testing and detailed design of the bridge. His motion was turned down.
