Police asking for the public's help to identify man killed in West Lincoln crash this morning.
Police continue to investigate a collision in West Lincoln that left one person dead and another with critical injuries.
Around 5:40 this morning, emergency crews were called to Caistorville Road near Concession Road 3.
An ATV and a minivan were involved in a head on crash, and the ATV driver was killed.
The minivan, a 2006 Honda Odyssey, contained four adults.
Three had minor to serious injuries.
The fourth was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries, and is currently listed in critical condition in the hospital.
Police say the ATV, black CAN – AM ATV (side x side), was demolished, and the Honda experienced heavy damage.
The identity of the deceased man is unknown.
The deceased is described as a man between the ages of 25 and 35 with short dark brown hair, a dark brown heard and a longer goatee.
He is about 170 pounds with a slim build and no visible tattoos.
He was wearing:
- Boots
- Work pants - dark beige
- Blue hoodie with -Sheet Metal Workers of Ontario - logo (see similar image below)
- Dark coloured moto cross enclosed helmet with goggles
- Knee pads - that are similar to ones one in the sheet metal or roofing industry
Families and/or businesses in the area with overdue family members or employees are asked to contact detectives.
Caistorville Road between Concession 2 and 3 was closed for most of the morning but has been re-opened.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
