Proceeds from the 50/50 draw will support the Port Cares Reach Out Centre Food Bank.
There are only two days left to win the Port Cares $pring Ka-Ching 50/50 draw.
Proceeds from the contest will be used to support the agency's Reach Out Centre Food Bank, which doesn't receive any government funding and relies on donations.
Port Cares says at the moment, the winner of the 50/50 draw will get over $20,000, but the agency is looking for a split amount of $30,000 to fund the Centre's services during the next few months.
"This draw is vital for us to raise the funds needed to help struggling families," says Christine Clark Lafleur, Executive Director at Port Cares. "With the cost of food on the rise, high prices and housing costs, everyone is feeling the pinch - especially low-income families with school-age children."
Tickets are five for $10, 20 for $20 or 100 for $40, and can be bought here.
As well, depending on the weather, the agency will be selling tickets on Friday, April 29th, during the Port Colborne Farmer's Market.
The draw will take place Friday afternoon at 2:01 p.m.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Port Cares has reported a 35 percent increase in demand for services.
