Stolen Property Recovered After Robberies: NRP

Police say it follows break and enters in Welland, computers, backpacks and power tools found

Police have been able to recover stolen property after some break and enters in Welland over the last few weeks, and arrest those responsible.

Yesterday, two men, both 29-years old, were arrested, police also using search warrants in the Rolling Acres Drive and Champlain Avenue area of Welland.

Police say they found 20 computers and multiple backpacks from Quaker Road Public school, and $50,000 worth of power tools from two construction sites.

Jonathan Mamone of Welland is charged with 3 counts of possession of property obtained by crime, over $5,000, and failing to comply with probation.

He is in custody, waiting for a bail hearing today.

Police add Steven Mamone is also charged with 3 counts of possession of property obtained by crime, over $5,000.  He was released with a future court date.
