Police say the accused used the internet to talk to children he thought were under 16-years old
Two child luring charges have been laid against a 63-year old St. Catharines man.
In June of 2023, police were investigating people in Niagara using the internet to contact children for sexual purposes, and in October, NRP joined forces with Sudbury police.
Police say over several months Dale J Cull used the internet to talk to many people he thought were under 16-years old, and in doing so, committed two child luring offences.
Yesterday, police used a search warrant at a St. Catharines house, found a number of electronic devices, and arrested the accused, charging him with:
- Luring a child via telecommunication to facilitate the offence of Sexual Interference
- Luring a child via telecommunication to facilitate the offence of Invitation to Sexual Touching
Police have reason to believe the accused also used usernames "Niagarafun" and "Dale Me" to reach other children.
He has a bail hearing today.
