Spray is weather dependent
The town of Pelham announcing the second application of this seasons aerial spray program for the Spongy Moth is set to get underway tomorrow morning at 7:00.
The town does note the spraying is weather dependent and could change on short notice.
The spray is completed by Zimmer Air with a twin-engine helicopter and residents are warned they will hear the chopper as it completes its path.
While no special precautions have to be taken officials do recommend residents remain indoors for 30 minutes if possible after spraying to allow for the droplets to deposit onto the tree leaves, bring laundry, toys and pets indoors and cover lawn furniture, outdoor tables, pools, BBQs, play equipment and sandboxes or rinse them off with water after spraying is finished.
