Environment Canada has upgraded the watch to a warning
Environment Canada has upgraded its severe thunderstorm watch to a warning for the entire Niagara Region.
They say severe thunderstorms are expected that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, hail and heavy rain.
For Niagara, they're anticipating wind gusts of up to 90 km/hr with heavy downpours.
Total rainfall amounts of 20-30 mm are possible with some small hail.
The storm is expected throughout the afternoon.
