Seven People Charged for Impaired Driving in Niagara

Niagara Regional Police releases latest list of impaired driving offenders

Niagara Regional Police have charged seven people for impaired driving following a series of R.I.D.E. checks.

The checks were conducted between April 17th - 23rd. 

Charges were laid for driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, having a blood alcohol level over the legal limit, or refusing to provide a breath or blood sample. 

The following individuals have been charged: 

  • Christian R. SIMMONS, 20yrs, Niagara Falls
  • Andrea M. BROWN, 38yrs, St. Catharines
  • Shaunak P. GOKHALE, 25yrs, St. Catharines
  • Jeffin JOSE, 26yrs, Niagara Falls
  • Chelsea L. MACLEAN, 36yrs, Cayuga
  • Shane R. HANNIGAN-LOURIE, 22yrs, St. Catharines
  • Dean G. CECCONI, 53yrs, Vaughan

Each person also received a 90 day license suspension. 

Police say impaired driving causes more deaths in Canada than any other crime.
