Owner must place sign on lawn reading "Aggressive Dog Lives Here"
A court ruling has been made to reunite a St. Catharines dog with its owner.
The dog is alleged to have bitten a number of people, including councilor Joe Kushner.
Kushner says he was attacked while canvassing in the area, but denies claims he tried to get Rocky put down.
"The allegation has been made that I have control over police reports, which is not the case. I have not talked to the police since I filed the original report. What happens to the dog is not determined by me," he stressed.
The situation prompted an online petition to save the dog, which received over 16,000 signatures, that Kushner says was full of misinformation.
Rocky was put in the care of the Lincoln County Humane Society until today's court ruling.
LCHS Executive Director Kevin Strooband tells us Rocky is now back with his owners. He says the owner has to put Rocky under certain restrictions, such as muzzling, but also displaying a sign, visible from the street, with the words "Aggressive Dog Lives Here". And, Rocky cannot be tied up in front of the house.
