Rescuers Honoured in Tearful Ceremony

Denise McGee has emotional moment on mic, husband Aaron looks on in blue shirt

Niagara Falls Fire Chief handed the fire chief's coin to 6 people, after man suffered heart attack on dock of Greater Niagara Boating Club

A Tonawanda, NY man is alive today thanks to the quick action of six people at the Chippewa Boat Club dock.

They were honoured at Niagara Falls city council last night, after rescuing Aaron McGee in September, who had a heart attack on the dock, and fell into the river.

Aaron's wife Denise, also honoured, says they've been going there for over 40 years.

Mike and Tracy Egan, Steve Flaminio, Jason Armstrong, and Tim Thompson, as well as Denise, received the fire chief's coin.
