But only when the rate reaches 30 percent
The Ford government decided earlier this month, school boards would no longer have to publicize the number of COVID cases in individual schools
Instead, starting today, parents will be told when absentee rates among staff and students reach 30 percent, even though some of those absences may not be related to COVID.
The province will also share information about how many schools are closed on its website.
Parents will also be able to search the absenteeism rate for staff and students by school.
