Health Minister Christine Elliott is reporting 1,429 new cases of COVID-19 this morning. A total of 385 people are currently being treated for the virus in hospital and 162 of them are in the ICU.
ONTARIO - Ontario is reporting a total of 1,429 new cases of COVID-19 this morning.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says this includes 526 people who are not fully vaccinated and 94 people who have unknown vaccination status.
A total of 162 people are currently being treated for the virus in ICUs across the province. When you break down the numbers, 131 of those people are not fully vaccinated or have unknown vaccination status. The remaining 31 are fully vaccinated.
The province is also reporting 385 hospitalizations this morning and 300 hundred of those patients are not vaccinated or have unknown vaccination status.
A total of 90.3 percent of all Ontarians over the age of 12 have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine so far, and 87.6 percent have received two doses.
In Ontario, 24,584,089 vaccine doses have been administered. 90.3% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 87.6% have two doses.
