Province Lifting Outdoor Capacity Limits For Large-Scale Organized Events, Such as Santa Claus Parades

Ontario government is scrapping capacity limits for outdoor organized events immediately.

The province is making way for full capacity crowds at upcoming outdoor Remembrance Day ceremonies and Santa Claus parades.

Several media outlets report the Ontario government will immediately scrap capacity requirements for large-scale outdoor events.

Attendees will need to wear masks when physical distancing of two metres isn't possible.

As well, outdoor capacity limits are also being removed in a handful of other sectors.

This means, festivals, fairs, ski hills, and outdoor areas of museums and zoos can operate at full capacity.

Meanwhile, outdoor social gatherings continue to be capped at 100 people.

This comes after the Ford government announced last week that it intends to lift all remaining public health requirements, including mandatory masks, by the end of March.
