Port Colborne residents are being encouraged to give their opinion on what they want done with the entrance parkette at H.H Knoll Lakeview Park.
The city of Port Colborne asking residents for their input on a possible redesign of the H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park entrance parkette.
It is part of a strategy to enhance recreational spaces for residents and attract business investment and tourists to the city.
Last year, the mini putt course and concession building were removed allowing two food trucks to operate during the 2021 season.
City staff recognized an opportunity for growth and retained MBTW Group to provide four conceptual landscape plans, including renderings and character sketches illustrating design intent.
According to the city, enhancing the entry to H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park with improve access to food trucks, provide more shaded seating and create new park experiences for residents and tourists.
At a city council meeting near the end of July 2021 staff was asked to engage the public's input on the plans and ideas at the parkette entrance.
Residents are encouraged to complete a short online poll asking which of the four concept plans
they like the best.
City staff will collect and review the poll’s results to determine the most preferred
concept.
The poll is open from Thursday, August 5 at 8:30 a.m. until Friday, August 20 at 11:59 p.m.
