Police Solve 25-Year Old Murder Case

The body of 26-year old woman found in Lincoln in 1999

A man who died in 2017 has been identified by Niagara police as the suspect in a murder case from 25-years ago.

The body of 26-year-old Nadine Gurczenski was found partially dressed in a roadside ditch in Lincoln in May 1999.

D-N-A evidence could not be linked to a suspect at that time, but police say advancements in technology have since allowed them to identify a suspect they believe was responsible.

They say Joseph Archie Brousseau, of New Liskeard, would have been charged with second-degree murder.  He was 34 at the time.

Police add he was a truck driver, travelling extensively through Canada and the US, and had ties to Quebec.
