Victim sprayed with an irritant similar to dog or bear spray
Police are looking for four suspects after a man was assaulted in Lincoln.
Early this morning, officers were called to a home on Dennis Avenue near Garden Gate Terrace.
Police say the victim woke up and found someone trying to steal from his car.
He confronted the man and a struggle took place.
Three other men came to help the suspect, and the victim was sprayed with an irritant similar to dog or bear spray.
At least two of the men pointed guns at the victim, and threatened to kill him.
The complainant also told police he heard sounds similar to Airsoft pistols being shot, but nobody was hit.
The suspects took off in a light coloured sedan with a loud muffler.
It was last seen turning south onto Bartlett Road towards John Street.
The suspects are described as four Black males, one of which had an accent.
They're believed to be 18 to 20 years old, and about 5'10" - 6'0" tall.
All of the suspects were wearing dark clothing, and concealed their identities by wearing balaclavas or similar face and head coverings.
Investigators believe this could be related to another case in Lincoln and Grimsby, where three men were spotted walking throught neighbourhoods checking for unlocked cars while armed.
Residents and businesses near Allan Court, Adam Court, Garden Gate Terrace or Dennis Avenue with security cameras are asked to look at any footage taken between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on July 26th, and report any suspicious activity to police.
