Police Looking for Stabbing Suspect

They say 50-year old Alexander Dwight Beverly Sr. is considered armed and dangerous

Niagara police need your help to find a man they consider armed and dangerous, wanted for a stabbing in Welland.

They were called to a house in the Margery Road and McMaster Avenue area yesterday, to find a man in his 30s suffering from what was believed to be life-threatening stab wounds.  His status has been upgraded and the injuries are no longer believed to be life-threatening.

Police found the assailant arrived at the house, and a fight soon started.  They believe this was targeted.

Police are looking for 50-year old Alexander Dwight Beverly Senior of Buffalo, wanted for aggravated assault, and uttering death and harm threats.  Police aren't too sure of his current whereabouts, nor what type of vehicle he could be driving, but he has ties to the Welland and Niagara Falls downtown areas.  He is also believed to be trying to get back into the Buffalo area.

He is black, 5'11, roughly 180lbs, wears glasses, has short black hair and brown eyes.   Police say at the time of the fight he was wearing black and white stripped running shoes, green fitted pants, a fitted workout top, orange sherpa/fuzzy vest, as well as a blue-hooded raincoat, a blue jays baseball cap under a biege touque with ear flaps, and carried a large green camping style backpack, and black satchel.

He's also used the names Victor Vent and Victor Fence.

Police warn you not to approach him, but call them immediately if you see him.
