Good news for parents worried about sending their kids to school amid the pandemic.
Pfizer announcing today its COVID-19 vaccine works for children ages 5 to 11.
The next step is getting approval from regulators in the U.S.. Britain and Europe to begin with.
Pfizer studied the vaccine in more than 2,000 kindergartners and elementary school-aged kids.
It gave them about a third of the typical dose and found they developed antibody levels just as strong as teens and young adults.
