Pelham Reaches Deal with Town Workers

The contract covers the next 4 years

Pelham town workers are getting a pay raise over the next 4-years after successful contract negotiations.

The town says those who take care of roads, make sure they're plowed in the winter, as well as cemeteries and water works are included.

Canadian Union of Public Employees local 1287 says it's for 18 full-time permanent, one part-time permanent, and 5 seasonal workers.

They'll get raises of 3.25% in 2024, 3 percent in 2025 and 2026, and 3.25-percent in 2027.

The town says it and the union worked together for the deal over September and October.
