Police giving credit to public assistance for solving crimes in Grimsby
Niagara Regional police crediting public help in arresting two people wanted for break and enters in Fort Erie, and theft in Grimsby.
In early January, police responded to complaints that Amazon packages had been taken from the front porches of homes in Grimsby.
Home owners handed surveillance pictures of the suspects to police, and they were able to identify 33-year old Franklin Lewis of no fixed address, and 34-year old Laura Jenkins of Hamilton.
Last week, police arrested the two, and determined they were also wanted for Fort Erie break ins.
They both face five counts of theft under $5,000, also possession of property obtained by crime. She was also charged with break and enter to commit.
Police say the suspects had bail hearings Friday in St. Catharines.
