A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared in the Extended Care Unit of the Welland hospital.
Niagara Health says one staff member has tested positive for the virus.
They're now self-isolating and contact tracing is underway.
Officials say it's a community-acquired case and it was discovered during routine surveillance.
