Halton Regional Police reported of male with firearm in area of schools
An Oakville school was been placed under lockdown after reports of a man with a firearm spotted in the area.
Halton Police tweeting out White Oaks Secondary School was in lockdown and many others in the area placed in hold and secure.
A heavy police presence was reported in the area and residents were asked to stay away.
Halton police confirm a suspect is now in custody.
Meantime, Toronto police arrested a 15-year-old boy and charged him with 10 different offences following a firearms investigation.
Police say the boy was arrested in Toronto's east end and that he had a .22-calibre handgun and a magazine with 10 rounds of ammunition on him when he was arrested.
The charges against him include possession of a loaded restricted firearm, having an altered serial number on a firearm and possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm without a license.
