Police say there is no evidence to suggest a threat to the safety of students or the public.
Niagara Regional Police continue to investigate after a social media post caused concerns about local schools yesterday.
Officers say a Snapchat post was made by a 14 year old who heard a rumour from a friend about an individual planning to stab students.
Both the 14 year old and the 16 year old friend have been identified and located by police.
The 16 year old also claims to have heard the unsubstantiated rumour.
No arrests are expected to be made at this time, and the validity of the post continues to be unverified.
Police say there currently is no threat to teachers, students, or members of the public.
