Incident took place in downtown St. Catharines
Niagara Regional Police are looking for witnesses following a stabbing in downtown St. Catharines over the long weekend.
It happened on Canada Day around 2:20 a.m. in the area of St. Paul Street and Garden Park near Carlisle Street.
NRP say a man in his 20's was found suffering from a serious stab wound following an attack.
He was transported to an out of region hospital for treatment of what's believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
Initial investigation determined the victim had an argument with a group people in front of a nightclub on James Street near St. Paul Street.
The argument escalated into a physical fight in the area of St. Paul Street and Garden Park and continued to the front doors of a near by hotel on St. Paul Street near Carlisle Street.
Two male suspects fled the scene and police are appealing to any witnesses to come forward.
