Suspect found to have fractured colarbone at hospital, after arrested for breaking into vehicle
A Niagara regional police officer has been cleared of doing anything wrong after a man was hurt during an arrest.
Police were called to the parking lot of a Niagara Falls hotel back in February, over report of a man breaking into a vehicle.
The suspect ran when police arrived, but an officer caught him, resulting in a struggle.
Other officers arrived, and handcuffed the suspect.
At the hospital, the man was found to have a fractured left colarbone.
The Special Investigations unit has determined there was no reasonable grounds to believe police did anything criminal in connection to that injury.
