NRP fired at man after reports show he lunged at them while holding knife
NRP officers have been cleared of doing anything wrong following a domestic disturbance in St. Catharines.
Last October, police were called to a home, concerning a 48-year old man who had attacked a family member with a knife.
When police arrived, the man charged at the officers while holding the knife.
He was told to show his hands, before two police officers fired at the man.
The suspect died at hospital.
The province's Special Investigations Unit determined there was no reasonable grounds to believe the officers committed a criminal offence.
