Team owners puts rumours to rest
A spokesperson for Pegula Sports and Entertainment, Jim Wilkinson tells WKBW, the debate on renovating Highmark Stadium is over, now we move on to how the Bills get a new stadium for a Championship winning franchise.
Wilkinson noting an independent engineering firm has determined the 50 year old stadium needs about a billion dollars in repairs.
The spokesman also putting rumours of a downtown stadium to rest, saying the Pegula's are looking to build a $1.4 billion stadium across the street from Highmark in Orchard Park.
Despite the need for expensive repairs and upgrades, Wilkinson says the facility is safe.
