Police have arrested 2 people from Brampton, after guns, drugs and money found in Brampton

More illegal drug activity in Niagara broken up by NRP, along with help from provincial police.

It all started with an investigation in April, that showed a trafficking network from Niagara to Toronto, moving cocaine, fentanyl and other illegal drugs.

Police used four search warrants in Brampton on October 23rd, and found:

· Four handguns

· One shotgun

· Approximately 2.7 kilograms of suspected fentanyl

· Approximately 1.2 kilograms of suspected cocaine

· Approximately 330 grams of suspected MDMA

· Approximately 11 grams of suspected methamphetamine

· 113 suspected oxycodone tablets

· 50 suspected hydromorphone tablets

· More than 845 rounds of ammunition

· A prohibited magazine

· More than $316,000 in Canadian currency

Police have charged 29-year old Michael Navarro of Brampton with 27 offences, he remains in custody, and appears in court a week Thursday.

· Firearms trafficking - three counts

· Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized - two counts

· Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition

· Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition - two counts

· Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 - four counts

· Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 - four counts

· Fail to comply with prohibition order

· Trafficking - fentanyl - six counts

· Trafficking - cocaine - two counts

· Possession - MDMA - two counts

They also charged 32-year old Kathy Ann Samuels, of Brampton, who was released with a December 5th court date in Toronto.

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine

· Possession for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl

Police add street gangs are migrating across Ontario, resulting in an increase in illegal guns entering our communities.
