Niagara Receiving More Emergency Room Funding

Provincial government says this brings total to over $32-million for the region, to also ease burden on ambulances

Emergency rooms in Niagara hope to see an ease of workload thanks to more provincial funding.

The Ontario government is increasing investment in ambulances in Niagara by 8% , bringing the current amount of funding to over $30.3-million a year.

There's also more money coming to hire more nurses... over $1.8-million.

The government says that brings the yearly investment for Niagara to over $32-million for ambulance and emergency room care.

It also says its helping more students become paramedics by adding over 300 spaces in paramedic programs at Ontario colleges.
