More EV Charging Stations for Niagara

The region is receiving 139, part of the government's $63-million plan to build them province wide

Good news for EV drivers in Niagara.

Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff says the government is building 139 new electric vehicle charging stations in the region, part of its $63-million plan to build them province wide.

Niagara Falls is getting the majority of them, 85, followed by 35 in St. Catharines.

Seven are going up in Port Colborne, the same for Fort Erie, and Welland and Beamsville each receive four stations.

Minister of Energy Stephen Lecce says there are more than 201,000 EV's in Ontario, and this will make life easier for drivers.
