Modelling Shows COVID Cases Will Climb to 6,000 a Day in Ontario

As a result, the Premier is threatening stricter lockdown measures.

Sources tell the CBC, the modelling shows our hospital ICU's could be full beyond capacity with COVID-19 patients by February.

Those sources also say COVID-19 cases are expected to increase to an average of 6,000 a day before the end of this month.

The survey data also found a large proportion of Ontarians are not following basic public health guidelines to slow the spread.

During a news conference on Friday, Premier Ford warned we will fall off our chairs when we see the modelling.

No new lockdown measures are expected before tomorrow.
