Mayor Still Waits for Swift's Call

Jim Diodati hasn't heard from Taylor Swift about staying in Niagara Falls, Bills and Chiefs Sunday in Buffalo

Niagara Falls' mayor has been feeling the pressure lately with one Taylor Swift concert in the books in Toronto, but five more to come, including tonight.

Jim Diodati says he has not heard from the singer about staying in Niagara Falls, after he reached out to her on Instagram.

He's heard countless suggestions on ways to reach her.  "And then I've got everyone and their brother, everyone and their sister, saying to me 'Oh please, if you hear from her make sure you let me know so I can win Mom of the Year, or Dad of the Year'.  So, I've had quite a few people say that to me as well.  If I had a nickel for every time that happened, I'd be retired."

Swift will be in Buffalo Sunday when the Kansas City Chiefs and her boyfriend Travis Kelce are in town to play the Bills.

The mayor has tried, adding celebrities have been here, be it Canada's Got Talent, or ComicCon.

"Or people performing at the OLG stage, or the Avalon Theatre, for sure, there's been lots of interest, but, nothing as out of control as the interest for Taylor.  That is one that has taken it to all new levels."

He adds the hype around a Swift concert he took his two daughters to 7 years ago wasn't anything like this.
