Will be back in court March 23rd
Lawyers for Marineland were in court after the theme park was charged with animal cruelty for allegedly using some of whales and dolphins in its shows for entertainment purposes.
Niagara Regional Police laid the charges after the animal rights group, Last Chance for Animals, accused the park of violating Bill S-203 which makes it illegal for Marineland to use the animals for entertainment purposes.
The Niagara Falls theme park maintains its shows are "educational".
Lawyers for the park told the court they are waiting disclosure from the prosecution.
The two sides will return to court next month.
