Man Rescued From Niagara Gorge

Man hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Niagara Parks Police are investigating after a man was rescued from the Niagara Gorge early this morning. 

Emergency crews were called to River Road between Seneca and Eastwood around 3:00 a.m. this morning. 

The call was made by passengers who had been involved in a minor single vehicle collision. 

The occupants of the car told responders that the 19 year old driver climbed over the retaining wall after the incident, and fell into the gorge. 

Niagara Parks Police say the man, who is a Niagara resident, was extricated by the Niagara Falls Fire Department. 

He was airlifted to a Hamilton hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The collision remains under investigation.
