The Captain of the Niagara IceDogs scored the golden goal at this years World Junior Hockey Tournament.
Hockey fans across Canada cheered when Akil Thomas scored with just 3:58 left in the third period yesterday.
He's an LA Kings prospect, and it was his first goal of the tournament.
Canada had been trailing 3-1 at the start of the third period, but wound up beating Russia 4-3 in the end.
