Organizers say there's over 23 vendors to help with Christmas shopping, selling hand made goods, including food and crafts
A highly anticipated market to do some Christmas shopping opens today in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
The Holiday Market runs to the 15th, at the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre, filled with over 23 local vendors.
Events Chair Joanne Morandin says it raises money for the Pumphouse. "The funds that are raised from the event go to support all the programming under the Art for All umbrella of the Pumphouse, which is programming for seniors and children."
Since it's free, she asks for canned food donations for Newark Neighbour's Food Bank.
There's vendors offering food such as chocolate and baked goods, also woodwork, personal care products, and other hand made items.
She adds there's lots of glass vendors too. "We have some jewelry also made out of glass and lanterns made out of the glass. We have a few jewelry vendors made out of artists' paintings that are then adapted to jewelry."
