There are reports that the province will announce a plan to stabilize the health care system today.
ONTARIO - The Ford Government is about to unveil it's plan to stabilize the health care system.
Both Health Minister Sylvia Jones and Premier Doug Ford have stated that the government is considering all options in order to improve the health care system. They haven't ruled out further private-sector investment, but they have stated that Ontarians won't have to pay for anything.
Hospitals across the province have been closing their emergency departments this summer due to a shortage of nurses. Some of the closures have only lasted for a few hours at a time, while others have lasted days.
Jones will be holding a press conference at 9:00 a.m. today alongside Long-Term Care Minister Paul Calandra and Ontario Health President and CEO Matthew Anderson.
