There is no risk to the Beamsville community, after crews responded to a natural gas leak in the downtown core.
It happened earlier today, but the leak has since been isolated.
Enbridge Gas was able to make the repair, and members of the Lincoln Fire Rescue conducted all of the proper safety measures.
It could still be a while before the smell of gas starts to disappear.
Members of the public were told to keep their windows and doors shut.
