Feds Considering Easing Some Travel Restrictions at Border

May see more workers deemed essential

Foreign Affairs Minister Marc Garneau telling a special House of Commons committee the flow of goods across the border has slowed because of the pandemic and we need to focus on ways to help economy.

Garneau says it may be time to designate some workers essential for cross border purposes.

Auto industry officials have argued they should be exempt from quarantine rules because of the cross border nature of their business.
