Drug Charges Result from Crash

Police say a vehicle hit a street post in Fort Erie

A single vehicle crash in Fort Erie has led to drug charges against a 21-year old man.

Police were called just before 5, yesterday morning, to the Garrison Road and Helena Street area, to find a grey Buick hit a street post and flipped over.

Police took a closer look, and found:

  • A Glock firearm
  • 27.4 grams of suspected fentanyl 
  • 111.3 grams of suspected cocaine 
  • 14 tablets of suspected oxycodone 
  • 234.6 grams of suspected cannabis 
  • $100 in Canadian Currency

Total value of the drugs is roughly $18,000.

Ardon Chamberlain of Fort Erie is charged with:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Careless Storage of Ammunition
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine (Two Counts)
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxycodone
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Several Cannabis Act related charges

He was kept in police custody.
