It'll be at least another month before Canadians can cross the border for non-essential travel.
In a tweet, Public Safety Minister Bill Blair says border restrictions will remain in place until at least May 21st.
Non-essential travel restrictions with the United States have been extended until May 21st, 2021. We will continue to base our decisions on the best public health advice available to keep Canadians safe from #COVID19.

The restrictions were initially enacted in March of last year.
Blair says the decision was made by officials on both sides of the border in order to keep the public safe.
