Hockey fans listened to him deliver NHL games for decades
Sad news for fans of legendary hockey broadcaster Bob Cole.
He has passed away at the age of 90.
Hockey fans listened to his play-by-play for a half-century on "Hockey Night in Canada,'' the 1972 Summit Series, and the 2002 Olympic final in Salt Lake City to name a few.
Cole also served as quiz master on ``Reach for the Top'' and worked for the Newfoundland government.
He died last night at his home in St. John's.
