Ford, Stellantis and GM workers vote in favour of strike action, if bargaining talks fail
Workers at three major automakers have voted in favour of a strike mandate, if a new collective agreement can't be made.
According to Unifor, the country's biggest private sector union, workers at Ford, GM and Stellantis held a vote over the weekend, with about 99 percent in favour of the mandate.
The vote took place this weekend, during a break in bargaining talks.
The current agreements expire just before midnight on September 18th.
