It looks like Buffalo won't be going green this year.
Under current New York State COVID-19 rules, social gatherings and special events are limited to 50 people or less, which means parades and special events are out of the question.
Other cities in the state including Rochester and Syracuse have already cancelled their St. Paddy's Day festivities.
Old First Ward parade representatives are already making plans for a half way to St. Patrick's Day Parade in September.
Both parades were cancelled last year because of the pandemic.
