Laugh Your Face Off Canada

This event is in support of a rare disease called Trigeminal Neuralgia. Imagine waking up one day to what feels like someone stabbing you repeatedly in the face, each strike more intense than the last – in your forehead, your jaw, your eye, your lips, your mouth. Then the shocks start coming – what feels like volts of electricity coursing through one side of your face. And when the storm quiets, and the stabbing stops, you’re left with a dull, aching pain that persists until the next attack, leaving you vulnerable to any trigger – a simple breeze, a light touch, a bite of food, a kiss from a loved one. That’s what life is like for Trigeminal Neuralgia patients. Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) is a nerve disorder doctors classify as one of the worst known pains to mankind. Others simply call it the “suicide disease”. Trigeminal Neuralgia strikes without warning, there are few truly effective treatments, and it is currently incurable.
That’s why Laugh Your Face Off (LYFO) was created, a comedy fundraiser in Chicago to benefit the Facial Pain Research Foundation (facingfacialpain.org). LYFO donates 100% of money raised directly to the Foundation to fund research for a cure.
Canada wants to participate too, and we are thrilled to announce a LYFO Canada Comedy event in Niagara Falls Ontario on September 13, 2024, at Club Italia. All proceeds will be presented to LYFO in Chicago during their 10th annual event on September 21, 2024. As this is our first year, we are expecting a modest crowd of around 150 people. We have planned a great night, with opening comments from Mayor Jim Diodati, comedians from YukYuk's, a silent auction, food, drink and more.
