Free Lifeguard Certification Training for Youth

In partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara, and sponsored by Canadian Tire's Jump-Start program, the City of Niagara Falls is offering free lifeguard certification training to qualified individuals between the ages of 15 and 18 years, who are currently attending high school or pursuing post-secondary education.
Beginning March 2020, up to 24 participants will be given the chance to learn the Red Cross two-part certification process in only 9 weeks (100% attendance is required to be certified).
Course Information
Part 1: Assistant Lifeguard (4 weeks)
Dates: March 15, 22, 29 and April 5
Hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Location: Boys and Girls Club of Niagara, 8800 McLeod Road, Niagara Falls
Note: Current Standard First Aid with CPR C Training will be provided in a one day course before Part 2 of the training commences.
Part 2: Lifeguard (5 weeks)
Dates: April 19, 26 and May 3, 10, 17
Hours: 8:30 am - 6:00 pm
Location: Boys and Girls Club of Niagara, 8800 McLeod Road, Niagara Falls
